Research

The AI Skills Research and Development Centre is a research-led global hub focused on solving complex and emerging challenges in skills development.

We work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, workforce transformation, education and public policy to develop the evidence, taxonomies, frameworks and methodologies needed to understand how skills are changing and how governments, industries and education systems should respond.

Our work brings together applied research, interdisciplinary expertise and strategic research partnerships to translate emerging knowledge into practical solutions. This includes developing skills taxonomies and classification systems, designing frameworks for workforce and capability development, mapping changing skill requirements and creating new approaches to education, training and lifelong learning.

By connecting research with real-world implementation, the Centre aims to strengthen the infrastructure that underpins skills development and help institutions address some of society’s most significant workforce challenges, including technological disruption, skills shortages, economic mobility, productivity and equitable participation in a rapidly evolving economy.
